The Dietz Model D-1 Ultra Sensitive Differential Pressure Switch is designed to operate in extreme environments at values as low as 0.7" H2O. The switch is actuated when pressure, vacuum, or differential pressure acts on the diaphragm, which in turn actuates a snap switch. The internal air volume required is minimal, allowing the switch to actuate without delay and with very little air displacement. The D-1's switch actuation point is adjustable and is easily increased by simply turning the adjustment nut clockwise. The snap switch is completely isolated from the pressure or vacuum media.
The Dietz D-1 will withstand high pressure overloads without physical damage or changes in calibration, and can be built to Military Specifications. The subminiature snap switch has a mechanical life of 95% survival after 18 million operations. The D-1's rugged flat plate construction employs a unique square diaphragm and high current ratings make electronic relays unnecessary. The D-1 is also available with gold contacts for use with low DC voltage and minimum current.
